Your video needs to be of you live and, in our opinion, good quality, clear, engaging [eg not the back of you] and show what our audience can expect to see on stage. If we think you would be a good fit for the Undercurrent then we go to the next steps.

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
OTHER GIGS: We prefer that you have no other gigs in the Wellington area for about 4 weeks on each side of your gig at our venue as this can seriously reduce audience numbers. If you believe another gig will not affect numbers feel free to explain.
SOUND: We have a small PA system with eight channels, two directional mics and one condenser mic, one mic stand and no DIs. We also have a house piano, drum kit (without cymbals) and a Kawai ES1 digital piano. We find this is sufficient for our small space. If you need more than that please bring it with you.
SEATING: Our venue seats up to 60 people and up to 100 standing.
HOSTING: We usually MC the event, serve/sell wine and food, set up, and clean up - we may ask for some help with this. We have a full alcohol license; there are no age-based restrictions, minors can enter freely.
TICKETING: We make tickets through UTR and tickets can be purchased with eftpos/cash at the door. Regarding complementary entries, please discuss this with us.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If we do not receive your promotional materials with enough time for our PR processes, we may get in touch to discuss possible cancellation.
EXPENSES: such as design and printing will be covered from the event door take ($30 - 40). The feature artist then receives 60% of the net door take.
POSTER: We will make your poster 2-4 weeks prior to your event, using the photo you send us and your 1 line description.. Note that some artistic license may be taken with your photo as Helena approaches the posters as an art form.
If you want to make your own poster you MUST let us know. Include door time, ticket price and where to get tickets (eg $15 UTR/ door), day of the week and date. Include The Undercurrent name and address (118 Tory Street) and our logo (we can send that to you as a PNG). The poster should not clash too much with our venue aesthetic, if we feel it does, some changes may be requested.

TIMING: Arrive from 2 hours prior to door time to set-up. Alternative arrangements if needed can be made by contacting Philip on 021 082 31660.
PUBLICITY: We will share your poster on our social media channels, make a FB event and UTR ticket listing (do NOT set up your own ticket listing), and include you in our monthly newsletter. You will need to take responsibility for putting your poster around town, publicising your event to your networks and doing any other publicity that you can manage.
CO-HOSTING: If you want us to add you as cohost to your Facebook event – you will need to follow the Undercurrent FB page.
INVOICE: We will ask for an invoice after your pay amount becomes known and we will pay this into the account you give us.
PARKING: We have a space at the Tory St side of the building for one vehicle, and others can park at Brendan Motors across the road after they close (normal business hours).
